My initial introduction to comics was the digest series of the 70s and I'd spend hours enjoying each one.

It'd be nice if Marvel or DC could put together similar reasonably-priced digest series. Superman Family and Batman Family digests for DC, and Avengers Family and X-Men Family digests for Marvel. They could contain complete stories from all eras of each set of characters and would be a perfect introduction for the new reader.Cerebushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407712521500490127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2252129938551938631.post-57006059085290230102012-08-06T07:26:07.633-04:002012-08-06T07:26:07.633-04:00Dave...Archie & Friends has been reprints of l...Dave...Archie & Friends has been reprints of late. Archie, Archie & Friends, Little Archie, Jughead...I think all the characters still have digest collections.

Walking around my local comic book store, I've seen Archie, Archie & Friends and a number of other comic titles. Archie & Friends still does the traditional gags. Archie seems to be doing something unique and different.

Until the whole Archie Marries Veronica/Betty storyline, I hadn't thought about Archie for years, since I picked up a few issues that collected Captain Pureheart stories. The issue I picked up was the first where Veronica was a super-villain, I think.Cathy and Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10176787538314011376noreply@blogger.com
