In 1950 Avon published "Television Puppet Show." The only evidence of television (or puppets for that matter) was on the cover-- the insides were merely typical funny animal stuff. Even back then it was clear to me that the book was just trying to ride on the coattails of the incredibly popular Howdy Doody TV show.
