VAST ACCUMULATION OF STUFF SALE 3/11

What if I gave a Vast Accumulation of Stuff sale and nobody came?
That was the case with last week’s sale when, for the first time in
the admittedly brief history of these sales, not a single item was
ordered.

I don’t know why this happened.  Was the mix of items uninteresting
to potential customers? Was everyone broke from paying off the last
of their holiday bills? Were the prices too high?  Maybe all of the
above and maybe none of the above.

Now that we’re getting closer to when I can start holding my actual
garage sales, I’m not sure if I should continue doing these online
sales.  If I have to lower the prices to garage sale prices to make
an online sale, there’s less reason to hold the online sales that
involve more time and effort per customer than the garage sales do.
Maybe my energy is better directed towards preparing for the actual
sales. I’m pondering that question.

In the meantime, I’m again offering the items I offered last week,
but at reduced prices. Here’s how the sale works...

First come, first serve. In other words, the quicker you e-mail me,
the better your chances of getting the item or items.  Only e-mail
orders will be accepted and you should not send payment until you
get a confirmation e-mail from me.  All listed items are in good or
better condition unless otherwise noted.

Let me stress that “e-mail only” rule.  Most of the few mistakes I
have made in assembling/shipping orders have happened with orders
I accepted via phone or Facebook message.  So...I’m not gonna break
my own rule anymore.

You should always include your mailing address with your orders.
That speeds up the packaging and the shipping.

Items will be shipped via United States Postal Service.  There is
a $6 shipping/handling charge for up to four items via media mail.
Add $1 for every two additional items. Tracking numbers are sent to
buyers when their orders have been shipped.

Payments are by check, money order or PayPal.  My PayPal address is
the same as my email address.  Purchases will generally be shipped
within a week of checks clearing,  money orders received or PayPal
payments received.

Because this is a one-man operation done between family, household
and work responsibilities, these items are only available to buyers
within the United States and to APO buyers.

When you receive your order, please check it and let me know of any
omissions as soon as possible.  I’ll be double-checking the orders
on my end, but, if there’s a problem, I want to make it right in a
timely fashion.

This week’s sale ends when the new sale goes up on Monday, March
11.  As always, your orders are greatly appreciated.

  1. I have bought a few items from your previous sales and appreciate the time you take in safely packaging and mailing the items. As we approach garage sale season it makes sense to stop the online sales for a while. You're doing this as a courtesy (and a way to make a few extra bucks) and if sales are slow (or non-existent)you certainly have the right to wait until the fall to start them up again.
Thanks for the offers through the winter months!
