OOPS!

I've been working in the comic-book industry for over four decades.  In that time, I've seen a lot of goofs escape the eye of writers and artists and editors and proofreaders and production people.  Heck, I made more than my fair share of goofs.  Having said that, I don't think I've ever seen a goof quite like this.

The first cover shown above is Archie's B&V Friends Double Digest #233 [June 2013].

The other cover is Archie's B&V Friends Double Digest #234 [August 2013].

Ar first, I thought I had bought the same issue twice. But, no, the same cover does appear on two different issues of the title.  The only difference between the two covers is the bar code.

The interiors are completely different, but the covers are the same.

It's amusing, but I also feel bad for the folks at Archie who probably haven't stopped slapping their foreheads since they discovered this goof.  I know their pain.

  1. That funny. I was sitting there scanning the covers and was damned if I couldn't see the difference. I didn't even think of looking at the issue number or barcode!
